Federal Grants
Grants are a great way to offset the cost of college, and they have the added bonus of not having to be paid back. There are two types of grants available at Delaware Tech.
Federal Pell Grant
The Pell Grant is a federal program open to qualified undergraduate students who demonstrate a financial need. It is the largest federal grant program.
Students who receive their first Pell Grant on or after July 1, 2012 may receive Pell Grants for as many as 12 full-time semesters (or the equivalent).
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
Funds for the Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant are allocated to individual colleges and universities for administration and disbursement. These funds are awarded to undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. Awards range from $100 to $1,000.
To apply for federal grants, file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
